Acoustic and Conductive Flooring Technology – Improve your floors performance!

Flooring technology is not just limited to the color, design or the texture of the floor and is much beyond that now. Technology that can fulfill various requirements according to the place where a typical floor is installed has been developed and that has led to a lot of types of floorings. The impact is long lasting and productivity of the place becomes large. When we talk about the acoustic effect, we know it is concerned with the sound. Acoustic Flooring is that can be helpful especially in places where sound effect is more than what is tolerable to the environment or at places where a special kind of silence is required.

The adverse effects of large sounds cannot be neglected as that not just disturbs the health but also disturbs the total environment. Sleeping disorder, hearing disorders, stress, mental disorders are also resulted out of sound. When the acoustic flooring technology comes into the picture all these effects can be reduced to minimum as the floor has sound absorbing property. The overall building in fact can be a more peaceful zone and many benefits can be achieved out of it. Vinyl and linoleum floors that have the capacity to reduce the sound up to 19dB are available now.

When we talk about a Conductive Flooring on the other hand, we talk about the electrical resistance to the ground. The resistance is an electrical quantity that is the literal resistance of the wire of conductor to the current and the unit of measurement is the ohm. What this technology of floor does is simply minimize or remove the effect of the electrical impulses on humans or any kind of equipment in the room whether electronic or wooden or furniture or even an animal. It is a mini version of a grounding technique. Sometimes, ground fault interrupters may be installed in the buildings installed with conductive flooring.
